NURSING SERVICES
-
using my experience of caring for residents with various forms of dementia, to patiently meet the health and emotional needs of clients in their home —no rushing
-
showering/ bathing, bed-bath, personal care, pre-surgery prep
-
dressing/ undressing, putting on/ off prosthetics/ braces/ T.E.D. hose
-
toileting, bedpan, promptly change incontinent "briefs", catheter and ostomy care
-
transferring via sit/ stand & pivot, slide-board, Hoyer® and "sit-to-stand" lifts
-
ambulating, frequent repositioning to prevent pressure ulcers
-
assist with eating/ feeding —reinforcing mealtime as a pleasurable experience
-
vital signs monitored: BP, temp, pulse, resp., oxygen, body weight
-
monitor equipment: CPAP, wound vac., oxygen tank, oxygenator, hearing aid/s, safety check wheelchair brakes and lift equipment
-
medication reminders
-
per Care Plan: administer non-sterile dressings, ice/ heat treatments, range-of-motion exercises
-
contact nurse/ doctor as warranted
-
nail care (non-diabetics)
-
dental/ denture hygiene
-
end of life comfort care
-
work with family/ nurses/ Hospice
-
complete forms, reports, logs, as needed
-
record intake/ output as needed

NON-NURSING SERVICES
-
meal & snack prep
-
shuttle/ escort client to local appts/ shopping
-
errands & shopping for client
-
friendly companionship, recreational reading to client
-
writing client-dictated correspondence
-
hair care, assist with makeup application
-
light housekeeping, laundry, linens changed
-
arrange for: household appliance repair/ service people
-
greet visitors
-
assist with assorted paperwork as needed/ requested
-
maintain CNA & CPR + AED certification

PRICING
Hourly Rate for all services: $30.00

There is a 1-hour required minimum to book an appointment.
(A free, in-home consultation is provided)

(I am a privately paid, independent contractor; I currently do not accept insurance, Medicare/ Medicaid)
​
Letters of Recommendation and/or Character References are available upon request.
